About Jiavani
Jiavani Linayao (pronounced "jee-uh-VAW-nee lin-EYE-oh") is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, singer and writer. She can be seen alongside Zach Galifianakis on Netflix in Between Two Ferns: The Movie, on Reno 911! Season 8, The Movie Show on SyFy Channel and more. She is a queer woman of Filipino/Black heritage, born in Germany. Jiavani can be found at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles performing musical improv and all types of comedy. She performs internationally with the legendary musical improv company Baby Wants Candy in Scotland, Iceland, Australia as well as throughout the US. Buzzfeed, Funny or Die, CollegeHumor, ScreenJunkies, Twitch TV and many other platforms have featured Jiavani’s fun brand of comedy. She was a writer for the CBS Diversity Showcase and appeared in the award-winning short films “Hutterite” and “Salamagan.”
